Hisham Ahmad is committed to empowering the next generation of problem solvers through education, mentorship, and innovation. As the founder of DiscoverSTEM, he has created opportunities for students to explore STEM fields, develop patents, and build critical thinking skills, helping them realize their potential to create meaningful change.
At 17, Hisham authored Misfit Mogul: Turning Ideas into Impact, sharing lessons from his own journey to inspire others to embrace creativity and resilience. His work is guided by the belief that with the right tools and support, anyone can make a difference.
Hisham’s mission is simple: to nurture curiosity, foster innovation, and give back to the communities that have shaped him.
Co-founded DiscoverSTEM
A STEM-oriented program focusing on mentoring kids to inspire innovation, and help them become future problem solvers. Hisham helped its growth into a $100 million company.
Founded DiscoverSTEM Foundation
Helping deserving children through scholarships and financial aid. Providing them with free education at DiscoverSTEM, patent filing support, and seed funding for start-ups. Granted over $785K in scholarships and offered over $30K in seed funding.
Patented a System for Color-Blind Individuals
A system that enables color-blind people to view colors effectively and improve their quality of life.
Patented a Secure Package Delivery Box
A package delivery box that combines durability, weather resistance features, and user-friendliness to ensure secure deliveries.
Co-founded UVSET SafeTouch
During the pandemic, Hisham, along with his team came up with a solution to mitigate the spread of COVID – an automated door-handle sanitizer. The company is currently working with multiple healthcare organizations all over Texas to reduce hospital-acquired infections. Awarded ‘Top 80 Most Innovative Products Supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals’ at Oslo Innovation Week for UVSET SafeTouch.
